With the shared goal of supporting maternal health and empowering pregnant women and their partners through access to knowledge and quality care, ABILINDA Nursing and Maternity Home in partnership with The Mobile Facilitation Team (MOFATE) under the authorization of the Ministry of Health, we are organizing a two-day workshop titled “The Empowered Birth – A Natural Birth Journey,” to be held from 7–8 November 2025 at Luther House Conference Hall, Dar es Salaam. Ahead of this, a virtual professional forum will run from 1–6 November, featuring discussions on maternal investment. This will lead into a health innovations showcase on 7 November, and a training workshop on 8 November,
Focusing on Understanding the birth process, benefits and risks of birth options, pain management and coping techniques, birth Planning, nutrition and Physical Preparation, partner and family support, managing fears and Anxiety, post-Birth Recovery, breastfeeding and Newborn Care basics and emergencies for expectant mothers, Nursing Mothers, Couples preparing for natural birth.
